Adams & Martin Group is hiring for a Family Law Associate Attorney to join a reputable law firm in Clayton, Missouri. This is a direct hire, full-time position. Missouri license is required, along with 3+ years of experience in Family Law.
Associates in this role work directly with clients, develop case strategy, and take active roles in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation while supported by an experienced litigation team.
· Divorce and legal separation matters
· Custody and parenting plan disputes
· Child support and maintenance
· Post-judgment modifications and enforcement
· Mediation, negotiated settlements, and contested hearings and trials
Our attorneys represent individuals navigating complex personal and financial disputes. The practice requires strategic advocacy, thoughtful negotiation, and practical problem-solving during some of the most significant moments in clients' lives.
· Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements
· Take meaningful roles in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
· Represent clients in court appearances
· Advise clients on strategy, legal rights, and potential outcomes
· Manage discovery and factual development in contested matters
· Work closely with partners while maintaining direct responsibility for key portions of cases
This position provides hands-on litigation experience, including earlier courtroom exposure and meaningful client responsibility.
· 3+ years of family law or domestic litigation experience
· Strong drafting, and advocacy skills
· Experience handling divorce, custody, support, and related domestic matters
· Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
· Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal communication skills
· Missouri licensure or eligibility for admission
We are seeking someone who operates at a high level, takes ownership of their work, and is interested in building a long-term domestic relations practice.
· Starting salary: $130,000+ depending on experience
· Bonus structure based on billable hours and overall performance
· Billable hour requirement: 1,800 annually
